Dread Protoform
The Dreads were a team of Decepticons group who all shared sharp bottom teeth, they resembles beast-like appearances. Most turn into a police vehicle. They had three protoform variants we know of. The first dreads to appear were Hatchet, Crankcase, and Crowbar, with the trio being killed in Dark of The Moon. The protoform variants of the dreads however did appear when Sentinel opened the space bridge, and they came through to Washington. Many of them scanned for their alt modes with a police cruiser being the main alt mode for the Dreads.

- Most members turn into a police vehicle just like Barricade and the Police Car Decepticon, however, Dreadbot transforms into a Rusty Volkswagen Van Type 1, while Assaulter transforms into a Quadruped form.
- In Dark of the Moon videogame prequel, there are Decepticon troops whom have their faces resemble that of the Dreads and even could talk. These Dreads are likely the trooper types.
- According to Josh Nizzi, Berserker and Dreadbot are part of the Dreads.
