Humans (Homo Sapiens) also called People, Insects and 'Umans, are the dominant and primitive species in the primitive planet called Earth.
They could be, or not, spawns of Unicron.
Biology:[]

Humans are bipedal hominids with little hair made of soft, organic materials, although with notable physical similarities to Cybertronians. Both species are bilaterally symmetrical bipeds, with their primary sensory and communication interfaces located prominently on their heads. Both are social, trade and exchange goods and develop emotional bonds with their peers. Interestingly, they possess an almost identical emotional spectrum to the Transformers as well, ranging from laughter, joy, and contentment to depression, anger, and cruelty.
Humans are physically composed of several specialized units or systems called organs. The major organs are internalized, but extremely fragile. The damage is difficult to repair and they have not yet developed an efficient method to replicate these organs, so they depend on external devices that can replace their functions.
Tecnology[]
Although Earth is rich with natural resources, Human technology is surprisingly primitive. They had only begun to experiment with outer atmosphere travel at the time the Great War (or another such first contact event) began on Earth, and they have limited communication methods. Although their locomotive devices, called "cars", are suitable for alternate modes, they are quite crude, potentially dangerous, and incredibly energy inefficient. Their few space experiences were to nearby places like their Moon (though they only went there because of the crashed Ark there) and sending small, archaic robots to Mars before a very angry Transformer destroyed one of them.
At least on Tyrant Kappa, much of human technology (such as lasers, microships, and spaceflight) was born when Sector Seven reverse-engineered a frozen Megatron (which explains why they're evil when brought to life). Eventually, due to the Transformers' presence on Earth, human technology advanced. In a positive case, groups like N.E.S.T. developed things like the powerful Rail Gun that killed Devastator with a single headshot (possibly improved by the Autobots), and Energon Detectors. In a negative case, groups like Cemetery Wind developed guns and drones to destroy Transformers, and the TRF developed weapons, drones, and Sentinel robots to kill Transformers as well.
In the Reboot timeline, Humans have decent but still primitive technology, with small groups like Sector Seven having decent military technology, however the Decepticon, Shatter, although the human infrastructure is primitive, worked well alongside Decepticon technology.
