Marcus Holt and the rest of the men under Captain Cartwright's command teamed up with Ironhide in order to hunt down Scorponok, one of the loose ends of the Autobots' recent battle against the Decepticons. He brought up the rear of the convoy as the group headed out into the desert, occupying an assault vehicle alongside William Oates. Unfortunately for them, Scorponok took the group by surprise, and attaching himself to Ironhide, took control of the Autobots' body. Scorponok/Ironhide then proceeded to take Holt's vehicle and slam it into the convoy's other assault vehicle, despite its occupants' best efforts to fight back. Though the L.A.V.'s were out of commission, Cartwright assured the rest of his men that Holt and Oates were tough guys, and would pull through. Shortly thereafter, the humans managed to sever Scorponok's connection to Ironhide, and the whole team stood next to the Autobot, declaring the job done.
