Michael Avery is the Ghost 1's science officer, having been with the project since its conception. A scientist through and through, Avery is all about the accumulation of knowledge to the point that Captain Walker even thinks he wouldn't care if the mission failed, so long as the information made it back. Despite this, he has a dry sense of humor that often serves to relieve the tension.
