Need parts… KILL ZE LITTLE ONE!
Wha…? NOOOOOOO! AHHHHHH!

-Scalpel, ordering Mixmaster and Long Haul kill Scrapmetal. Scrapmetal to Mixmaster and Long Haul not to break him.

Scrapmetal was a Decepticon and a Constructicon, in which he would combine himself with his fellow brethren to form the powerful and deadly Devastator. Scrapmetal was also primarily used for Megatron's resurrection during Revenge of the Fallen.

History[]

Early Life[]

Little is known about Scrapmetal's past, he came to earth at some point, and took two forms of a Volvo EC700C Crawler Excavator and a modified Caterpillar M930 Bulldozer with scoop attachment, giving him two transformation modes, he was one of the smallest Decepticons and got into plenty of accidents.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen []

After Ravage retrieved The Shard From Diego Garcia's N.E.S.T. Base, Ravage joined with Scrapmetal, Mixmaster, Long Haul and Rampage, who disguised themselves as construction vehicles on a cargo ship. They dived into the abyss, where Megatron's dirty corpse laid. They eventually reached the bottom of the abyss, Where Ravage ejected Scalpel. After examining Megatron's body, Scalpel declared that he needs parts for Megatron's alt mode to be a Cybertronian Tank with capabilities of flying. So he ordered Mixmaster and Long Haul to kill Scrapmetal for parts, and before Scrapmetal could protest and plead his Constructicon friends not to kill him, he was set upon by Long Haul and Mixmaster, as they break Scrapmetal to death, transferring the remains to Megatron, he may have been honored for the sacrifice, or maybe not.

ROTF ze little one

NOOOOOOO! WAIT! I don’t wanna be ripped apart for- AAAAAAHHH!!!!!

However, Scrapmetal mysteriously returns and was present in Egypt during Operation: Firestorm. He combined with his fellow Constructicons to form the mighty Devastator, forming the hand and Connecting with Hightower as Bulldozer.[1] While climbing the Great Pyramid of Giza, Devastator used both Scrapmetal and Scrapper's grappling hook and claw bucket for leverages and to unearthed the Star Harvester with tremendous strength.

On order from Simmons, the U.S. Kidd fired their experimental Railgun, hitting Devastator, killing all of his components including Scrapmetal too.

Fates[]

Deaths[]

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen[]

  • Is broken apart by Mixmaster and Long Haul, results getting his body broken and completely ruined. (Debatable, a soldier said there are 6 Decepticons coming out of the sea, it’s possible that he’s still alive, or if his remains were taken with the other Decepticons)
  • Shot by Railgun.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen[]

  • Leg ripped by Mixmaster.

Weapons[]

  • Excavator Arm on back
  • Claws
  • Shovel Attachment
  • Cannon

Notes[]

  • Although Scalpel refers to Scrapmetal As "Ze little one," Scrapmetal Is in fact, bigger than Mixmaster, despite being small. He may as well be their same height. Scalpel may be referring "Ze little One" as a name referring to Weak, Useless, Or Lazy. There is a high chance that Scrapmetal may be not be taller than Long Haul, as his appearance in the water may make him look big. This is likely since when he is seen diving into the abyss with Mixmaster, Long Haul and Rampage, And Ravage, He appears small, so he is likely smaller than Long Haul.
  • It's possible that he's still alive, as a soldier said that 6 Decepticons were rising from the bottom of the sea. The others were Megatron, Long Haul, Mixmaster, Rampage and Ravage. Scalpel could not be the sixth as it is too small to be detected on the radar due to returning inside Ravage.
  • Toy bios Studio Series Scrapmetal indicates that Scrapmetal was present in Egypt during Operation: Firestorm. He combined with his fellow Constructicons to form the mighty Devastator, forming the left hand of the monstrous titan. The above statement could potentially mean that with the same subtle retcon Hasbro made with Skipjack being the left leg of Devastator rather than Rampage (as mentioned in the aforementioned interview and indicated in the Studio Series toy bios for both figures), the same could be made for Scrapmetal. With that in mind, that could mean one. Scrapmetal has potentially taken on two different forms, one being the bulldozer that forms Devastator's left hand (which fits with a previous statement made by Hasbro about him being a bulldozer) and the other being the Volvo excavator shown on the barge.c
  • As Scrapmetal Does Not Have A Normal Voyager Class Toy from The Revenge Of The Fallen Toyline, unlike the other toys, In 2010, There was a Cancelled Transformers Action Figure Toy Figure Pack Known As "Megatron Rising" Which included toys of the Decepticons That Brought back Megatron in the abyss from revenge of the fallen. (Except Scalpel And Ravage.) The pack included a Dar Green Revenge Of The Fallen Voyager Class Megatron and a Legends Class Mixmaster, Longhaul, Rampage, and a Red Repaint Of Legends Class Scrapper. The Red Scrapper is assumed to be Scrapmetal. As Scrapper is not at all seen in The abyss with the construticons in the second film. However, on the back of the toy pack, the Red Repaint Of the Legends Class Scrapper was said to have been just Scrapper, not Scrapmetal. This is likely due to the fact that Scrapmetal did not have a sold toy in stores with Revenge Of The Fallen toys. the Legends Class Rampage is also known as just Rampage, Not Skipjack from the movie, According to the toy pack.
  • Scrapmetal got a Deluxe Class figure under the Studio Series toyline.
  • He has one line where he says in the Movie, "Wha…? NOOOOOOO!" When he is getting broken apart.
  • His supposed second bulldozer alt mode was a strange and purely fictional one as no D9T/M930 bulldozer were ever fitted with a loader's scoop attachment to become a tracked loader.
  • Scrapper's model was used as a placeholder for Scrapmetal due to the rush production.
  • The Studio Series Deluxe toy of Scrapmetal has the boom/arm of the Excavator sticking out on the back that bares resemblance to the original G1 Scavenger.
  • When Scrapmetal says, "Wha…? NOOOOOOO!" He sounds like Lumpy from Happy Tree Friends.

Errors[]

His errors can involve the wrong parts or the wrong alt mode.

  • Before Scrapmetal, Mixmaster, Long Haul, Rampage, Scalpel and Ravage go to the water to revive Megatron, Scrapmetal is a Front Loader instead of a Volvo EC700C hydraulic attachment.
  • His CGI model has parts of a Caterpillar 992D Front Loader instead of a Volvo EC700C with hydraulic attachment.
  • When Scrapmetal was being dragged by his comrades he has treads on his feet.
  • When Scrapmetal Combines with the other Constructicons, He is as Volvo EC700C with hydraulic attachment, instead of a Caterpillar D9T Bulldozer. Despite this, in the Studio Series toys he appears as his left hand Devastator's but as Volvo EC700C Excavator without hydraulic attachment. This is probably due to the fact that in film for normal transformation in Devastator's left hand, he needed original Volvo EC700C Excavator without hydraulic attachment.
